With its friendly approach and awesome updates, Duolingo’s long been one of our favorite apps for learning another language. Its secret: making the process genuinely fun. Engaging mini-games test your reading, writing, and speaking skills, and joining a club (where you can encourage and compete with others) adds a great social element. Bonus: all those languages and games are available for free!

Duolingo Rocks!!

When I first decided to do Duolingo, it was because someone told me to do it and highly recommended it to me. But at first I couldn’t really get into it. Once I started to do it though I changed my mind and now I love Duolingo so much! I find it entertaining, fun, and useful. There is a leaderboard to compete with others, you have friends on Duolingo, you can see how your progressing, and it’s extra fun to keep your streak alive. You can learn many languages at once, and can even do music or math. You can also see how your friends are progressing and it’s easy to find your friends on Duolingo, especially when Duolingo recommends friends from your contacts. There are also hearts on Duolingo that you can lose by getting one wrong, but don’t worry they come back after a certain amount of hours, or you can practice to earn a heart. There are also fun little videos that they sometimes add in your path to make it fun, and sometimes they give you gifts. There are so many wonderful little perks that are in Duolingo that make it easier to learn. You can even get something called Super Duolingo or Duolingo Max which includes even more perks, but does cost a little money. Personally, I like Duolingo with and without it. You earn a certain amount of XP throughout each lesson, which helps on the leaderboard. Don’t forget regular Duolingo is free! In conclusion, Duolingo is a fun, family friendly learning device helpful for all ages and I highly recommend it!

I have some issues and some solutions

I get the point of this app, but why do I need to wait four hours every time I can five questions wrong!? I got this game to learn not to wait a long period of time when I don’t understand something. I don’t see how your learning if your spending your time waiting. I stopped using this game for a month then I decided to play again, then of course I remembered why I stopped giving attention to this game. Because as soon as I lost my hearts I couldn’t learn anymore and it’s really frustrating. So here are some ideas, first take away waiting four hours maybe instead when you loose all of your hearts you just have to restart the lesson or go back 3 questions, second you should have categories of different things you want to learn in a certain language. For example you want to learn French, but only about relatives, so you just go to the category “Relatives.” Third of all I think this game could be slightly more entertaining but adding small educational videos or short songs of the language and lesson your learning just to make this game interesting when you reach the middle of your lesson for example, maybe the beginning, or end for a summary. Honestly this game isn’t bad but it is extremely frustrating when I can’t learn but I see the point and the potential, so overall this is a good and popular educational learning app I recommend.

(But please think about my ideas🥺🙏❤️)
